Another Sunday, and another great day with the Butters. This week my dad's friend from work was walking out to his car when he realized that he had forgotten to give away these four Arizona Diamondbacks tickets and he gave them to my dad!
So on Sunday, my dad, Collin, and I left the house to go to the game. We left early though, because we had to run some errands first. Then we also picked up my friend from his house, and then we headed to the game. We got there before the national anthem (which does not usually happen), and then we had also realized that the roof was
open! I had only been to the stadium once while the roof was open, and that had been a night game.
This game was at 1:10, and it was pretty awesome to see how bright the stadium was. Later on though, it still looked cool, but it got HOT! The worst was during the 4-6 innings, where the sun would not go away. It cooled off later though, and the game was a lot more enjoyable. For the actual game, it didn't go so well.
In the first inning, the Dbacks hit a home run with their second batter, and then not much happened since
then. We got two more runs late in the game, but that didn't change anything. We were playing the Rockies, and they got a couple home runs and beat the Dbacks 6-3. The worst part of the game were the people sitting behind us.
It was a grandpa with two of his kids that did not care about the game at all. He kept trying to show them all of these things, like how the pitcher threw the ball, and stuff like that. If I had to say one thing to sum up what it was like to have them sit behind you, I would tell you that in the first 30 seconds the chubby kid grabbed the grandpa and yelled out, "cotton candy!".
The game was still fun to go to, and everybody still enjoyed it. So on that note, thanks for reading and tune in next week on TBB!
