Boring Weekends

Every once in a while, you want a break. You always get a little tired from everything and you want to just relax. But have you ever been too bored? It was my parents' twentieth anniversary this week so they wanted to go out for dinner Saturday night. Earlier in the day, I had called my friend to see if I could come over, but he was at a heated pool with his grandparents. So that left me absolutely nothing to do the whole day except for homework.                                                                                                                                Occasionally, I would go outside and shoot on the hoop that we have in our pool, but even that got boring. I ended up (after homework of course) just laying around on the couch. The peak of the whole day was watching the movie "Moneyball" at night.
The next day was a little bit better. I had nothing to do the whole first half of the day, but after lunch, I got to skate ( see my post Finally Skateboarding) to the park that is about half a mile from our house. Fortunately for us, there was a group of little kids that were having a birthday party there, and they were constantly yelling the whole time. We started shooting and after about half an hour, this group of kids that were probably a couple of years younger than me came in and started shooting on the hoop right next to us.

They didn't bother me, except for this one kid that was riding one of those Green Machine bikes that was way too small for him, but then another kid pulls out a bluetooth speaker and starts to blare this horrible hip/hop music. Apparently, they thought this was very cool, so we listened to it for the rest of the time.

We shot until my arms were really hurting, and then we skated down to the store and we got some powerade. After that, we went back home and rested and then had some pizza. Now my arms are really sore, but you can definitely say that this weekend got better. At any rate, thanks for reading and tune in next week on TBB!

GP Basketball

This blog post will be shorter than others due to the disappointment that is still inside me after this turn of events. If any of you have read my post "GP Football" (check it out!), you would know that I am pretty good and get lots of playing time, but with basketball...not so much.

I wish that basketball was my thing but it really isn't. I really wanted to try it, and as much as I really wanted to play it, which I still get to, my friends got on the B Team because they actually play basketball. It is also hard because this week I signed up to join my friend's club, Arizona Soccer Academy, and both basketball practices conflict with the ASA ones so it would be tough.

The coaches for basketball said that all you have to do as players is have a great attitude and give a great effort. I felt kind of robbed because I think I did both of those things yet I still managed to make the C Team, which is the third and worst team that you can make. Some people would say that it was a matter of size, but let me tell you that you can look at this other super tall kid in my grade (not saying names) and that accusation will never cross your mind ever again. You could guess how frustrated I was after they told me what team I was on, and I really just want to improve from now on so that in the future I won't get on a rock-bottom team.

Now lets end on a happy note. I know that you can switch teams during a season so if I look good in front of my fellow teammates, I could, just possibly, get moved up. We'll just end there. Thanks for reading and tune in next week on TBB!

Getting Teeth Pulled 2

Sitting in "Outer Space"
Getting teeth pulled can be tricky business. Getting teeth pulled while being sedated can be even trickier. And even more dizzy. Unfortunately, I have only had one tooth come out naturally and it was my first one. Ever since, I have had to keep going back to that dreaded house of dentistry and it is getting pretty boring.

Anyway, I think that this is the third time that I have had to go but the first time that I had to be sedated. Now let me be the first to say that I did not have to be sedated because I was scared, but because two of the teeth that were getting pulled were impacted and you would have to be drugged for those. So I thought I would have to drink a tiny little cup but instead the lady walks in with these two enormous viles of clear liquid, so it wasn't as pleasant as I thought  it woud be.

Step 2 was that they led me into the "Outer Space" room which was just a dark room with a TV and tons of life-size pilllows. After about an hour in there, I was led into the room with the doctor and people had to strap me in so that I didn't fall off it while they were working. When they were working, you didn't feel the pain but you could definitely feel the pressure when they drilled into your mouth.

Probably the most annoying was that as soon as they started I got an itch on my nose that I couldn't make go away because I could not move my arms! They finally finished up and I was wheel-chaired out of the building to my moms car where a day of missing school and laying on the couch and eating ice cream awaited. Well, that's all for now so thank you for reading and tune in next week on TBB!
Right before doctors came in.

Super Bowl Snacks and What to Feed Your Guests.

the bowl of deliciousness.
Super Bowl 50 is finally here. Grant it, I don't really care about the teams this year, (Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos) but it's still fun either way. I think we all know what I am talking about. THE SNACKS!

You can almost never go wrong with the snacks. Anything from the Flamin' Hot Cheetos to the Jones cream soda will work but the real deal is the M&M's mixed with the twizzler bites bowl. The grand daddy of them all, this masterpiece is sure to keep people happy and entertained throughout the whole game or at least until they throw up. I somehow avoided it this year and I am just so proud.

Of course there are other good snacks. Ruffles, salt water taffy, and Lays are all great too and will all be appreciated. But this post is just meant to make you aware of what other people are interested in snack-wise, So thanks for reading and tune in next week on TBB!
