Finally skateboarding

Dad's awesome cruiser.
Well, I finally learned to skateboard and it's pretty fun. For some reason, I think it was Tuesday, I just thought that I wanted to try and get out my really old skateboard that I got one Christmas and then after school I got on it and tried to go to the mailbox on it. Let's just say that if you saw me you would probably fall over laughing because it looked absolutely pathetic. But for some reason I was enjoying it more than I ever had when I first tried it a long time ago.

I have know idea why, but right after I finished my homework the next day I got right back on it and went right around the cul de sac that we live in and this time my mom and brother came out to watch me. Anyhow, when I was getting the mail the other day, I was mostly on the sidewalk, and now I was just riding in the streets and my foot was vibrating so much I just could not stand it and I decided to try my Dad's board. He had these big OJ wheels on his and red grip tape and sure enough when I rode it in the street I could not feel a thing!

It was amazing and as soon as he got home I told him about how awesome his board was. He wasn't even mad and I kept using his throughout the rest of the week. On Saturday he took me to Industrial Rideshop where he was going to put new OJ wheels and REDS bearings on his old board and that one could be mine. Quick side note here: I think that in order to get a job there you have to have a ginormous gold watch because EVERYBODY there had one. Back to where we were...

When we got there, there was this mom and dad with their kid trying to get him a custom board. I myself believe that they were wasting their time (and money) because while they were talking to the guy working there the kid was sitting on a board rolling back and forth. Eventually I got some amazing black and blue wheels on mine and I got to ride it around the store.

When we got home we got to go on the new path that slopes downhill behind our house! No board will ever be as good as my dad's but it came pretty close. Well, that's all the time I have so thanks for reading and tune in next week on TBB!

GP Football

To be honest with you, this week was pretty boring, but there is always one thing that makes up for it that is with us, and that is FOOTBALL. The positions, the tactics, the coaches, (mine has a fro) and the game itself. Yep it has it all.

I play center attacking midfield, A.K.A the best position ever, and my coach has not taken me out once in the past two games. Usually I'm taken out for about two minutes at the end which is super frustrating, but not anymore.

This game we were playing at our school in the morning and the the other team was mainly composed out of 8th graders. But you haven't heard the worst of it. THEY HAD MUSTACHES! I'm pretty convinced that the person with the biggest mustache got to be captain because the captain for their team practically had a beard.

Early on in the game we gave away a free kick that turned into a goal which wasn't surprising because it happens every game. They proceeded to score another goal which was garbage because we were completely outplaying them. It proceeded throughout the whole game and we were never able to score a goal. I was stepped on a few times and that didn't help matters either. The final score was 0-2 in their favor but it was still the best game we had ever played.

Afterward my friends came home with us and we got to go back later to watch the B-Team play their first ever game. (They got crushed and I won't say anything else.) Well, thanks for reading and tune in next weekend on TBB!

Going to Flagstaff

On MLK weekend, we drove up north to Flagstaff. To be honest, the drive up felt pretty nauseating and someone had gotten into a crash in front of us.

We were averaging 3 MPH and it felt like we were never going to get there. On top of everything else, I had brought my homework to do which wasn't really helping the matter. Then when we were really close to the big hill that we sled on, we got to stop at Someburros and have some good Mexican food, got back in the car, and arrive at our destination.

This was probably the deepest I had seen the snow and it didn't disappoint. Collin was sledding, Mom was racing dad (she cheated), Beau was running around, we played catch (which was hard) and then dad hurt his back.

It ended with Mom trying to kick a snow man over and the result was her lying on her back laughing. Wish I had gotten a picture of that. All in all, it was pretty fun and we were exhausted.

We got to listen to the playoffs on the way home (total bummer about the Packers) and my Mom and I played UNO. Beau did not move from his laying down position on the whole ride home. It was so much fun! Thanks for reading and tune in next week on TBB!

Angry Grandpa

First off, my grandpa is awesome. Second of all, he is good at racquetball. Third of all, He has an aggressive side that I had just discovered.

He was taking me to his gym so that we could play racquetball, and when we finished I had wanted to go check out the ping pong area because all of the tables were empty. On the other side of the room, there was a big group of high school kids that were acting like idiots. Eventually, a POLICE OFFICER came in and asks them if any of them had gone to the skate park recently because it had a fence around it that someone had broken into. They all said no, which I'm pretty sure was a lie especially because one of them actually HAD a skateboard with him. Anyway, as soon as the police left, they all started saying all kinds of stupid stuff like, "police brutality" and tons of other dumb things.

Well, my grandpa had had enough. He stopped playing ping pong and walked over to the table that they were sitting at and gave them a piece of his mind demanding that they respect that policeman. I personally do not think that they cared judging by the way that they said, "yes SIR" and "sorry SIR" but boy did I think it was impressive.

Well, it was an exciting turn of events, and afterward I got to listen to my grandpa talk about how he thinks that kids these days need to respect the police more. At any rate, it was a great (and fun) learning experience. That's all for now! Thank's for reading and tune in next week on TBB!
